How do atoms get together?

The different kinds of atoms can get together in groups and form molecules. For instance, water is made of two Hydrogen atoms and one Oxygen atom and is called H2O. These molecules are held together because of the electric force. Some of the electrons in some of the atoms are far enough away from their nucleus that they are attracted together with electrons from another atom to its nucleus. This way they gain more stability.
